Varsity Head Coach Sarah Malo
Introducing our Head Cheer Coach, Sarah Malo!
Sarah is born and raised in San Diego where she started her cheer journey first as an athlete and soon after, as a coach and now a gym owner. She has a long history coaching sideline cheerleading with multiple different high school programs in the area.
Currently, Sarah is an owner of the Pacific Beach Allstars and starting her 6th season as a coach for the nationally ranked accredited cheer program at UC San Diego. This season she also found some time to coach with the *new* and amazingly talented professional San Diego football cheer team; Oceanside Bombers.
Cheerleading has been a constant figure in Sarah’s life, molding her first as an athlete, a coach and a gym owner. Sarah’s love for the sport and what it meant to her as an athlete catapulted her into the next phase of her cheerleading career. During her tenure as a coach, her programs have achieved many accolades, including multiple national championship titles.
Coach Sarah has been with MHHS for 5 seasons and this year brought our own
MISSION HILLS GRIZZLIES CHEER TEAM TO THEIR
1ST CIF TITLE SINCE 2016!

- Coach Sarah loves the ocean and vacations every year in Kauai.
- Her favorite animal is the sea turtle.
- Coach Sarah hold a degree in Literature and Writing Studies from Cal State San Marcos.
- You will always find her with a bag of gummy bears!
